What is a Resident Outreach Coordinator (ROC)?
In fall 2024, the Office of the Dean of Students absorbed staff members from HRE, ensuring a consistent student experience. The U now coordinates cases at the same level within an identical system, consolidating the processes and making sure everyone is receiving the same level of care and timeliness.
Resident Outreach Coordinators (ROC), are part of this accountability and care system. ROCs provide immediate support in connection to campus resources as they navigate challenges in academics, emotional/mental health, basic needs/finances, and housing. As needed, ROCs can serve as a long-term connection as residents navigate campus.

During your meeting with a Resident Outreach Coordinator, we will begin by reviewing your individual needs and concerns. Together, we’ll discuss various campus resources that can provide additional support and collaboratively create a personalized action plan outlining the steps you can take moving forward. Finally, we’ll schedule a follow-up to check in on your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your plan.
