Honors First Year Communities

If you’re a newly admitted student and have been accepted to the Honors College, an Honors First-Year Community is an excellent Living Learning Community option for you. Honors First-Year Community are housed in the Sage Point Residence Hall and the Donna Garff Marriott Honors Residential Scholars Community.  Students who live in an Honors First-Year Community work with Honors College Advisors to select a theme, such as Intellectual Traditions or Global Health, that suits them the best, and then they take courses with other residents on their floor.  All Honors First-Year Community help residents make progress on their Honors degree.

Who’s Eligible? Newly admitted, first-year students
Living Learning Community or Theme Community? Living Learning Community
Area on Campus: Sage Point 813 and Marriott Honors Community
Associated Courses: Students speak with Honors Advisors to select the correct courses.
Who Selects Residents? Selection for the First Year Honors Communities is completed by the Honors College.
