Coming soon! The South Campus Housing & Dining Project will be the University of Utah’s newest residential building, opening in Fall 2020. The project is designed to encourage students to deepen their engagement with the U through Living Learning Communities (LLCs) and Themed Communities (TCs). The communities being planned include:
- U Health-Health & Wellness Wing: Focus on inter-professional education as well as increasing access to health professions for underrepresented students.
- Technology Initiatives Wing: Focus on increasing the number of students in the science, technology, engineering and math [STEM] disciplines, particularly historically marginalized students.
- Community Engagement: Focus on connections with the Bennion Service Center, advocacy/activism, and service.
- First Year Honors College Living Learning Communities (LLCs): These communities re designed to bring smaller groups of students together within a residence hall. These groups create a small network of Honors students who take one or more required Honors course together during their first year of college.
