How to Order Food at Urban Bytes

One day, I walked into Urban Bytes for breakfast, and I could smell chocolate chip pancakes cooking on the stove. I excitedly walked up to the counter to grab my pancakes, when I realized you had to order them first! I sheepishly scanned the QR code, and to my surprise, I could easily order them online. It only took me a moment to order my pancakes; then, a few minutes later I was drenching them in syrup.

This experience made me think… What else was I missing out on at Urban Bytes? With my roommate on my side, we decided to go and see what all the fuss was about.

For lunch, we decided to go to The Game. There were so many options to choose from! Burgers, chicken, and even Philly sandwiches! My roommate chose a hamburger with fries, and I got a Philly sandwich with fries! After ordering, it took about five minutes to get our food and we both enjoyed what we picked!

Now, how do you order food? Here’s a step-by-step guide to ordering food at Urban Bytes:

Step One: Scan a QR code on the wall. You can find them posted around Urban Bytes, but there’s one located at The Game and one at the TaqUeria.

Step Two: Enter your phone number and pick which menu you want to look at. For lunch you have a few options to choose from like The Game, TaqUeria, and City’s Edge.

Step Three: Choose what you want and add it to your cart. You also have the option to customize your meal to your liking. For example, my roommate and I both added fries!

Step Four: Go to your cart and submit your order. It will pull up your summary of your order as well as the cost—completely free!

Step Five: Wait for a text telling you your food is ready. When the text comes through, go pick up your meal.

Step Six: Enjoy!

Tips and tricks

First, make sure you have enough time to wait for your food. If you are in a rush, ordering food may not be the best option. Conveniently, the ordering screen shows you how long the approximate wait time is to help you gauge this!

Second, make sure you are only ordering one item per order. Additionally, you are not able to order again until 30 minutes have passed since your last order. This is to make sure that everyone can get their food on time—so be considerate!

Finally, have fun with it! I have loved being able to try something new every time I go into Urban Bytes. Don’t be afraid to scan the QR code or make customizations!
