2020 Move-In Guides

We can't wait to welcome U home! We highly encourage you to refer to these as you're preparing to move on campus, as well as while you're getting settled. Move-In Guides each contain tailored information for your area about the residential experience, including front desk resources, info about mail & packages, how to connect your devices to wifi, submitting a maintenance request, parking information, where to dine on campus, information about residential policies, and COVID-19 updates and expectations!

Assigned Arrival Times

Fall move-in will occur over multiple days for during Move-In Week to support physical distancing. First-year students will be able to move in on their their assigned move-in day during their arrival time on August 18, 19 & 20. Move-in times are assigned by the area a resident lives in. This is the day and time that residents should plan to arrive on campus to check in to their room. Additional information logistics about arrival, parking, and mandatory coronavirus test administration will be shared via email in early August. Upperclass and graduate residents should select their preferred move-in time on either August 21, 22, or 23 with our online sign-up link from the Upperclass/Graduate Students drop-down below. Students who have existing travel plans to arrive to campus on August 20 will be accommodated.

If you are an upperclass or graduate student moving in this fall, please sign-up for your preferred move-in day on August 21, 22, or 23 using this link.

COVID-19 Testing

All residents will receive a COVID-19 test before receiving a key to move-in to their room. COVID-19 testing will be integrated into the move-in day process and will be at no additional cost. Testing will occur on campus at your assigned move-in time. Click here to learn more about the move-in COVID-19 testing process

Directions and Parking

Your first stop when you come to campus will be our central COVID-19 testing location at the Officers Club. Once you arrive to the Officers Club, only the resident should exit the vehicle, and only after being notified by an HRE Staff Member. After you're done testing, you'll be able to check in, receive your Welcome Packet and key, and drive to your residential areas unloading zone or staging lot.

Directions to Testing Location

Parking lots around residential areas on Move-In Day are reserved as unloading zones only. Large vehicles, including trailers, are not permitted in unloading zones. You should plan on bringing one car to campus on Move-In Day. Residents are allotted a maximum of 2 guests to assist on move-in day. Everyone arriving on move-in day should wear a face covering while on campus. We will have a designated parking lot on lower campus for you to park after you are done unloading. Shuttles will run throughout the day to bring you back to your residence hall to finish unpacking and to get settled in!

Maps and directions to your residential unloading zone can be found below by selecting your community. They will also be included in your Welcome Packet, along with your Unloading Pass. Your Unloading Pass should be placed on your car's dashboard once you arrive to your unloading zone.

The following directional maps will direct you from our central testing location to your residential area's unloading zone. Please select your community from below. Please Note: Before heading to your area's unloading zone, you should first head to our on-campus testing center to receive your COVID-19 test.
