Kahlert Village is the newest residential community on campus and will be home to approximately 990 first-year students beginning August 2020. The building is made up of four themed communities to help students deepen their engagement on campus. The building features double and single rooms in cluster and suite-style configurations. Kahlert Village is centrally located on campus, includes a full-service dining facility, and a variety of classroom and study space available for students. Lassonde Studios

UNDERGRADUATE & GRADUATE HOUSING


Location: In Central Lower Campus near the Student Life Center, Student Union, Spencer Fox Eccles Business Building as well as several other academic buildings.

Eligibility: First year through graduate students.

Description: Lassonde Studios opened in the Fall of 2016, and is home for 412 student entrepreneurs and innovators. This is a place where students from any major or year can “Live. Create. Launch.” The building features cluster, loft, and pod style living options.  Residents can engage with a community of makers on the four themed maker lounges in the building. Lassonde Studios also features a 20,000-square-foot innovation space, where students can connect, test ideas, build prototypes, launch companies and learn by doing. The engagement opportunities within this building are facilitated by the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, an interdisciplinary division of the David Eccles School of Business. Lassonde Studios also offers Information Sessions on Fridays from 12:30 — 1:30 p.m. You can also take a self-guided virtual tour of the Studios here.

Officers Circle

UNDERGRADUATE HOUSING


Location: On the East Side of Campus within Heritage Commons. Near the Peterson Heritage Center, Shuttle Stop, Stillwell intramural field, and the Eccles Legacy Bridge.

Eligibility: First year (in some OC houses) and upperclass students.

Description: Officers Circle (OC) is a unique community comprised of 10 individual houses, most with a different academic or themed focus. There are 12 residents in each house, with the Kennecott House housing 13 residents.  All houses are mixed gender and feature large study/lounge spaces, front porches, and kitchens. The OC houses are close to the Peterson Heritage Center, including the dining room, shuttle stop, and Eccles Legacy Bridge making access to all of campus easy and convenient.   A meal plan is required in this living area, the lower level meal plan is available to residents. Description: Sage Point features suite-style single, double, and deluxe rooms for approximately 850 first-year students. Sage Point is also home to many of our Living Learning and Theme Communities, making it a great place to pursue your interests and make friends. Sage Point is features a 24-hour exercise facility for residents, plenty of outdoor green space, and excellent views of the Wasatch Mountain front. A meal plan is required in this living area. Description: : Gateway Heights features suite-style single and double rooms for first-year students. Gateway Heights halls are single gender by building and offer several common area spaces for studying, socializing, and meeting new friends. Gateway is adjacent to the shuttle stop and the Peterson Heritage Center, which includes our dining room. A meal plan is required in this living area. Chapel Glen

Location: On the East Side of Campus within Heritage Commons. Near the Peterson Heritage Center, University Hospital, and the Eccles Legacy Bridge to lower campus and the Fort Douglas TRAX stop.

Eligibility: First year students.

Description: Chapel Glen features suite-style single, double, and triple style rooms for first-year students. Chapel Glen floors are co-ed and offer several common area spaces for studying, socializing, and meeting new friends. Chapel Glen is close to the medical and health areas of campus and features several nearby outdoor spaces perfect for soaking up some sun, relaxing, and includes slack-lining poles. There is a fitness area in Chapel Glen 803 for use by all residents. It is accessible 24-hours a day. A meal plan is required in this living area. For information on pricing, view our rates page.
